SlumDog WHAT???????

Slumdog millionaire : A movie by Danny Boyle, about a poor indian destitute who ends up becoming destiny's child.

I had heard the soundtrack of the movie. Absolutely outstanding, brilliant, A.R. Rahman at his best. But the movie ???? what the hell is the big deal all about ???? it is an absolutely normal movie. There is nothing gripping about the movie, the acting is supremely passable, i do not care if these are gora indians trying to deliver a hindi dialogue, if a actor is delivering a hindi dialogue, he / she better do it with fluency, if the actors in Slumdog are outstanding, then Katrina Kaif is the best actress i have seen. Expect the youngest Jamaal and Irfan Khan the actors in Slumdog have not done a good job.
And then is the direction, Danny BOyle, it was absolutely normal direction, nothing bad but nothign outstanding. Just becase a GORA is telling a Indian story...does it deserve so much credit and such great applause ???

And the plot too is not anything great...its a typical BOLLYWOOD plot, one poor boy who has been the butt of all jokes and has lost all the time, suddenly luck turns in his / her favour... I mean whts the big deal about this ??? watch luckbychance if you want to see a guy getting lucky.

Do not get me wrong, i think Slumdog is a okay movie not bad, but it definately is not something GREAT / OUTSTANDING and frankly DOES NOT DESERVE AN OSCAR (except for the music)
